While the kitchen churns out dependable interpretations of Thai classics like pad thai and spring rolls, don't make the mistake so many do of passing up Northern Thai specialties like haw moak, a mousse-like dish that steams chicken, spices, coconut milk and curry paste in banana leaves. Spice lovers have several multiple-alarm curries to enjoy. Coconut-lovers must sample the kitchen's most popular dessert, mango-and-coconut-cream sticky rice.

The Upper Crust, a locally owned pizza joint with locations blossoming throughout the city and surrounding areas, never fails to please when it comes to laid back and traditional thin crust pie. Salads and pastas served here as well: but this local Boston favorite reigns supreme when it comes to the pie. Delivery available at this location adjacent to the famed Coolidge Corner Moviehouse.

It's a good honest specimen of a dying breed around these parts: an American-Chinese restaurant where you can go with a paperback on a damp, chilly day, sit down, and get a cup of hot and sour soup for lunch (they actually do this very well), a spring roll, and a plate of something spicy and reasonably tasty with rice for six or seven dollars.

Serving the community for over three decades, The Coolidge Corner Clubhouse is a Cozy sports bar with tons of televisions and a large selection of domestic and imported beers. The variety and taste packs a serious punch! Their All-Star Lineup of food and drinks include 36 Microbrews on tap, Boston's largest Martini Menu, A Huge Dinner Menu including 50 different Sandwiches, 20 different Mexican food items, 30 different appetizers and Boston's Best Nachos (Boston's Largest Menu Variety), Boston's largest salads (over 40 different salad options), and a Brunch Menu that offers 18 items to choose from. The Sandwiches, named after Boston sports icons, include a Roger Clemens grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli, honey mustard and melted cheese. Most meals come with a heaping mound of their signature curly fries. Along with all the food superlatives you'll find at the CCC, this restaurant and bar has become the premier place in Brookline (and some say Boston) to watch your favorite team on the screen. Judging by the 20 HDTV's and their ability to show EVERY NFL Game it is no wonder they have a crowd on Sundays. They also show every BC football game. Come for the game stay for the food....even late night! Kitchen is open until 1:15am!

Folks in Coolidge Corner like their sushi - easily figured out by the growing number of Japanese restaurants sprouting up. Blue Ocean is a newer addition and therefore tends to attract fewer crowds than the older, more established places.

Ok, Wah's is NOT gourmet, it is not a five star restaurant. It's good, solid, greasy Chinese food. Their list of entrees is VERY impressive...everything from Mooshi, to Duck to Singapore style dishes..and at 2 am when you get the munchies, there is nothing better than their General Gau's. You can actually taste the ginger and garlic whereas most budget places, their General Gaus is nothing more than Chicken Fingers. The little lady you see in there has been there for years, and although she sounds a little scary, she's quite nice. HUGE PORTIONS, and I mean, BIG! I got the Orange Chicken Combo Plate, which comes with an appetizer, and no joke, the biggest pieces of orange chicken I've ever seen!
