Built in 1933, the Coolidge is a movie palace (not a multi-plex) and it usually features independent and foreign films as well as an eclectic variety of festivals. As Boston's only non-profit first-run arthouse theater, it's no surprise that movies from the Republic of China Film Festival, Boston Jewish flicks, Cartoon Madness and Sci-Fi Marathons have all graced the curtain-adorned screen. A must see is the annual “You Oughta Be in Pictures” screening, a night dedicated to locally-made porn (all copies of the film are destroyed after the viewing, so that voyeuristic politician in you can fear not). As a testament to the Coolidge's popularity, patrons raised $750,000 to save the theater from closing a few years ago. Admission $9, children and senior citizens $6, members $6. Bargain matinee screenings $7.

Join in the family fun on Saturday mornings at 10:30am. The theater now hosts children's entertainers, magicians, cartoons, and movies. Some puppet performances are staged in conjunction with the Puppet Showplace Theater.
Cozy sports bar with tons of televisions and a large selection of domestic and imported beers. Menu boasts all your traditional sports bar staples plus oversized salads, burgers and sandwhiches named for Boston sports icons inlcuding a Roger Clemens grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli, honey mustard and melted cheese. Most meals come with a heaping mound of their signature curly fries.
This is a small space (little sister to a bigger location near MGH). Serving all sorts of crepes, from savory to sweet. It's not all that French in feel, but the food is really good so does that matter?

Folks in Coolidge Corner like their sushi - easily figured out by the growing number of Japanese restaurants sprouting up. Takeshima is a newer addition and therefore tends to attract fewer crowds than the older, more established places.
The Upper Crust, a locally owned pizza joint with locations blossoming throughout the city and surrounding areas, never fails to please when it comes to laid back and traditional thin crust pie. Salads and pastas served here as well: but this local Boston favorite reigns supreme when it comes to the pie. Delivery available at this location adjacent to the famed Coolidge Corner Moviehouse.
